The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is a corporate body established under Article 171 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, with the mandate of promoting and facilitating the independence and accountability of the Judiciary and the efficient, effective, and transparent administration of justice. The Commission invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the position of Adhoc Member, Political Parties Disputes Tribunal- Non-Advocate.

Terms Of Service:
Under Section 39A (2) of the Political Parties Act, No. 11 of 2011, the tenure of office for Adhoc Members shall not exceed one (1) year, and they shall serve on a part-time basis.
Remuneration:
The Adhoc members shall be paid such emoluments or allowances at rates determined by the Judicial Service Commission in consultation with the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
Constitutional and Statutory Requirements for Appointment:
Pursuant to Section 39A (1)(b) of the Political Parties Act, No.11 of 2011, a person to be appointed as an Adhoc Member of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal- Non- Advocate must possess the following qualifications. i. Hold a Bachelor of degree in any of the following disciplines governance, administrative, social, political, economic from a recognized university or equivalent qualifications. ii. Demonstrate proven experience and a strong track record in governance, administration, and social, political, or economic affairs. iii. Must not be a public officer or holds office in a political party. iv. Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage. v. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.

(d) professional certificates, testimonials, and academic transcripts, Certificate of Admission to the roll of advocate (where applicable) (e) Applicant’s recent colored passport-size photograph (f) Five (5) sample writings, which may include but not limited to scholarly writings or any professional publications that the applicant has authored; (g) The applications must reach the Commission NOT LATER THAN 12TH JUNE 2026 AT 5.00 PM.
